Club Med Resort Cherating

Asalamualaikum. Hello guys! It’s Fatihah here. Who else it could be?  I will write about Club Med Cherating today. For your information, Kuantan City is nearby to the Cherating so as you may know or not yet, I am from Kuantan for as long as I can remember.

 This resort is quite dope to visit than the other place and it was one of the best attraction in Pahang.

Club Med Cherating is known for its all-inclusive resort. This means accommodation, 3 meals daily, unlimited drinks including alcohol for non- Muslim, of course. And also sports activities are included in your stay.

The most important thing is this place was the first Club Med resort in Asia. This place was built in the Malay Kampung house style on stilts.

Thanks to the highway, it took you only 3 hours of a drive from KL to Cherating and it is a smooth journey. There are quite a number R&R around so it is totally kids friendly. The first thing you will see when you entering this resort is the reception area. When you drove your car in, the guard will ask for your booking number and once you arrived at the lobby you will be greeted by the Gentle Organisers (GO) and they prepared all the cards, room keys and documentation for you. Also they will give you like a ribbon to tie on your wrist. This helps them to differentiate between guest and other visitors. However, do bear in mind you need to deposit a Cash card worth RM1K. Because everything inside Club Med is cashless, so if you want to buy any product or services provided you have to use the cash card. It works like a prepaid card.

In addition, in arrival, after the welcoming session by Club Med international staff also known as GO. You will be given a short briefing by the GO on the resort and the facilities. 

View from your room was actually will be the garden view, so you will find it  very calming. This round our room is at “Cicak” block. The last time I came here my block is located all the way at “Orang Utan” and it is very far from the lobby. In case, you are wondering they name the block by alphabetical order. So, having Cicak “start with C” is way nearer than Orang Utan Block. If you come with kids or elderly do request for room nearer to the lobby. My family and I do enjoy walking so we don’t really mind the distance.

This resort is actually have 3 types of  rooms which is Club Room, Club Room Seaside and Suite. The first one is located on the upper floors of the resort and it has a garden view while the Club Room Seaside is located nearer to the main areas and it has an ocean view. The last room is facing the sea and it comes with a lounge, a bathtub, and balcony with deck chairs.

This Resort has 3 restaurants which is The Mutiara, Enak and The Rembulan. The Mutiara serves international buffet. There are food islands for Chinese, Western, Korean, Indian, Japanese and Malay.

Enak serves various type of noodles and it was open between 2.45pm to 11.30pm daily.

The Rembulan serves late lunch and fine dining dinner. Dinner requires advance reservations which must be made at the entrance of the Mutiara Restaurant in the morning.

GOs will join you at your table for lunch or dinner. It’s a way to get to know each other better and an interesting concept that I have yet to see in other resorts.

You can have fun here by doing an activities such as archery, trapeze, badminton, tennis, squash, football, beach volleyball, basketball, sailing, kayaking, rock climbing, tree tops, nature walk, aqua fitness, yoga and fitness classes with your family or friends.

Just want to put some reminders here. Do not forget to bring your sport shoes okay!

Every night there will be a dress code for dinner such as All White theme, Glamorous theme and more! After dinner at approximately 9pm, the Club Med GOs will perform on stage. After the show there will be either a party or activities like cultural night, casino night (without real money) and so on.

Club Med Kids Club and Passworld is available free. Club Med GOs will take care of your children with various activities from morning till evening. So you can enjoy some ‘private’  time together with your beloved ones.

Check-in to Club Med Cherating is after 3pm and check-out is 11am on the last day of your stay. You will need to remove your luggage from the room but can remain in the resorts until after lunch.

If you would like to take a shower before your journey home, there is a shower room located below the bar.
